Oh my…what a gift!

A Christmas gift in April.

Shannon and Ryan gave me mulch for Christmas this year. And the labor to spead it on the flower beds. An unusual gift, you might wonder.

A perfect gift. I have not been able to afford to buy mulch for the last 3 years. I love my perrenial gardens. I love that from early Spring to early Fall, something’s always in bloom. But, oh what a mess the beds were! Weeds grew quicker than flowers and the bare dirt made it all look so unkept. It would all just overwhelm me.

Until…

A crisp, clear Spring day in April when a mountain of mulch was delivered late on Friday and 24 hours later it looked like I lived in a new home! A beautiful transformation!

I can only pray that the Lord is doing such a transformation in me…
